This week in MATH, we have have been working on our learning goal on continuing the counting sequence to 120. More than half the class has mastered at least one of the three targets for this goal (reading numbers out of sequence to 120, writing numbers to 120 (beginning from any number), and counting to 120.). We will continue to work on mastering these goals during Jaguar time next week. Some will be working on going higher than 120!
In WRITING this week, we have been working on writing a good sentence with a "who" (subject) and a "do" (predicate). Students have also written independently in their September writing Journal and writing a "Weekend Update".
In Large Group PTR, we continue to work on the sounds in Vowel Town, finding 'what's your name e?' words and helping to reading them, and finding defender c words (k can't stand alone at the end of the word if the vowel does not say it's name) back, pack, luck.
Next week, we have an early release on Wednesday. Our special's schedule will be: Library, Art, PE, and Music. We have school pictures next Friday! We will check out books next Thursday.
