In COMMUNICATION ARTS, we have been working hard as well. In WRITING, we have been working on "How-To" writing. We have been planning materials needed, and steps to do it, and then putting it in paragraph form. In SCIENCE, we have been learning about animals. We have been learning how to classify animals. So far, we've learned about mammals, amphibians, birds, and fish. In Large Group PTR, we worked on reading fluently, decoding, and comprehension. For SPELLING, we focused on words with au/aw. Next week our Spelling words will be: look, took, good, food, too, broom, put, new. Jane took the green broom. Does your new shirt look good?
Next week our specials are: Music, PE, Art, Music, PE. Library is on Wednesday. We will be doing our specials (and flipping our schedule) next week to accommodate the third and fourth graders during the MAP test. Our specials will be in the morning with 2 recesses in the afternoon. Several friends have had books out for quite a while. Please get those turned in next week.
Congratulations to Luke Van Deusen, who was Principal for a Day. Thanks to the Van Deusen family for supporting the RP Foundation!
