In SHARED READING, we continue to work on retelling a story using details and story elements. Our focus this week has been on the main character and the settling. We have been using details from the stories to "prove" when and where the setting is and what the character is like. In WRITING, we've started talking about Informational Writing and how it is different than narrative (story). We did a writing piece together as a class about the Royals! We will start SPELLING next week with the same words and sentences.
Our words will be: can, big, man, hand, did, had, his, and the. The sentences are: The big man had a fat cat. His hand got cut on the can.
Everyone needs to have a jacket. We were cold yesterday at recess.
I loved getting to meet with all of you at Parent Conferences! I see such growth and progress!
Shout outs to: Aiden and Vaden for passing all levels in sight words and have Gold Medals. Everyone that was here first quarter has passed the Blue Ribbon words and are working hard on the Bronze Medals. These friends have passed their Bronze words: Aria, Tiffany, Morgan, and Zavier. Morgan has also passed her Silver Words! Way to go everyone!!
