Next week, we have no school Monday and Tuesday. Our specials will be: Art, Music, PE. We will go to the Library on Wednesday.
We have been working so hard on sight words! 16 friends have already passed third quarter (silver) sight words. 8 have passed fourth quarter (gold) sight words!
We changed our schedule around some, and I have to say I like it better and I think the class does too. Three of the PTR small groups are working on "Crossing the River" and "Vowel Ladders" for spotting the vowels. Spotting the vowels helps us decode words easier. I love the progress I am seeing!
I'm so proud of how great my class is when I have a substitute (honestly they are pretty awesome all of the time!). I love that I can count on them when I have to be gone! I will have to be gone some more because Sarah is not recovering like she should from that concussion. So she will start some specialized therapy and we will go back to CMH in February. Concussions are horrible (go see that movie!) and I just want to bubble wrap all of my kids!
Indoor recess has been successful. They do a great job playing games, building, coloring, and being on the tablets. We try to go out when the temperatures permit.
