Wow we had another busy week! And to top it off, we had a fantastic fall party today! Thank you to all of the parents that helped make our party so fun!!! We also had some indoor recess due to all of the rain. It is always interesting listening in to the conversations! In MATH this week, we worked on addition and subtraction strategies. We worked on doubles, doubles plus one, and using addition to solve subtraction with fact families. We have also been doing a few timed tests to build fluency. We are creating our own flash cards to practices too. We have been doing fluency assessments this week as well. In Shared Reading this week, we have been working on the comprehension strategy of Schema. We are making connections with text to self, text to text, and text to the world. We have combined this with Writing too. We do a lot of sharing ideas when we make connections. We also love to share our writing too! Next week, we don't have school on Monday for a Professional Development Day. Our specials will be: Library, Art, PE, and Music. We check out books on Thursdays!!
